It's a FRAUD. Contact the authorities immediately. Contact the shipping agent and see if there is a recourse there. Notify the Internet Crime Complaint Center (formerly the IFCC) http://www.ic3.gov/ and file a report there.

Then provide as much detail about the scammer as possible in the forum to help others avoid him/her/them.

I start with the WHOIS info http://escrow-fraud.pgardner.net/whois. ... change.com and see that this site was created on 08-Dec-2005 which means the site is very yound (however has been around long as far as scams go.)

Then I looked at the image gallery I have capturing the images of the various sites as I kept seeing repeats of the same design layout and if you check http://escrow-fraud.pgardner.net/images/sites/ and more specifically http://escrow-fraud.pgardner.net/images/sites/Layout10/ you will see that this layout has been used more than once and all sites have been a fraud.

Finally I have been looking at fraud sites like these for going on 3 years now and I have learned very quickly how to spot them.

You will probably get NO more emails from your buyer, and if anything they will only be to explain why there is yet another delay in your payment. That way they hope to put of your complaints as long as possible to keep their site running. Apparently this one has done a good job at it, as they have been around since early December 2005.

I will garuntee that ANYONE that who "Claims" to have a good relationship with safedealexchange.com will be working for and with those that are perpetrating this scam.

Forgive me for being BLUNT, but

IT'S A FRAUD

You are being scammed. You lost your ring. You will not likely see it again unless you ACT NOW!!!!! Even then it may be too late.

Contact your shipper and see if they offer a recourse for getting your ring back. If not you are OUT of the ring, the money and a little of your dignity. How do I know? I have been there. Trust me, do not wait for tomorrow. Do it TODAY!!!!!

I cannot make it any more clearer.
