Is this site for real?

hey everyone, just looking for a little help.

I'm trying to make a purchase from a guy, he sent me this link http://www.securetrade-auctions.net for the escrow service we could use. Just wondering if anyone knows if it's actual a legit escrow service or not.

I read your posting and went to http://www.whois.sc to look up the escrow company you listed. Here's what I see:

1. The website is not active yet.
2. Creation Date........ 2005-10-07 (this reputable company is 5 days old)

I would RUN if I were you. Also, you could forward them to Escrow.com - eBay works only with this company. I'd be willing to bet they'll back out.

Please check out http://escrow-fraud.pgardner.net/images/sites/ and more specifically http://escrow-fraud.pgardner.net/images/sites/Layout19 and you will see that this is a fraud.

Each of those images are from DISTINCT and DIFFERENT websites (indicated by the name of the file.

In this case there was
securetrade-auctions.net
securetrade-auctions.us and
securetrade-auction.us

Notice the subtle differences in the names but there is Little (if any) change in the design.

I suspect you will see the .com, .org, .biz, etc... some time in the near future too.

Again, check the WHOIS info. I have it at http://escrow-fraud.pgardner.net/whois. ... ctions.net as well.

Lastly, please provide the details of the scammer in this forum. It's helpful to have that to help others avoid them additionally there are those who can use that information to potentially stop the scammers.

it's amazing how many variations have been registered recently... Check it out.. Use your own prefered whois if you like as well.
