Postby adam10 » Tue Apr 27, 2010 10:46 pm

Hi,

have doubts about a flat offerin Amsterdam asking for an upfront deposit at i-Mail TDP Escrow ( http://www.int-mail.uk.pn/ .

Can someone check the "to good to be true offer"? Thanks!

Definitely fake. Don't send any money; the site probably will be taken care of later today.

(In case anyone is wondering: It works only in Internet Explorer under Windows; on Firefox and Safari one gets only HTML gibberish).

I am also offered a tendant contract for which an advance payment has to be done via this site: http://www.e-royal.uk.pn/

Is this ok?

Thank you

No, the site is fake; and so is the person you are in contact with.

(Interestingly, this site works only in Internet Explorer as well, not in Firefox or other browsers).

Please post a few more details (like the email address of the scammer); and I'm trying to get it killed later.

The email adress is: mikel15@inbox-live.com

The name of the person that I'm in contact with is Mikel Pedersen

The room is offered for rent via the dutch site www.marktplaats.nl:
Amsterdam Centrum appartement te huur - 2 k. (1 slaapkamer)

The emails I recieve are very detailed including many pictures of the aparment offered and a full description of the location. I know the building so the offer he made already seemed to good to be true.

Thank you for the check up.

Thanks for the additional information; this may help other people who do a web search for the email address of the scammer. And as you can see, the related fake escrow site is no longer active.
