I must say this appears to be mostly outside the "typical" escrow fraud setups I'm familiar with. So everything I say must be taken with a pretty big grain of salt.
So the site is called
http://www.alliance-insagt.com and the company calls itself "Alliance Insurance Agency" (more about this in a minute). So where does the "t" in the domain name come from?
So let's have a look at the clients:
http://www.alliance-insagt.com/files/M& ... mation.pdf"The Mergers & Acquisitions Insurance Group is one of the world's leading providers of
transactional insurance and alternative risk solutions to insurance brokers and to companies and
their legal, financial and other advisors."
Let's do a Google search for "The Mergers & Acquisitions Insurance Group is one of the world's leading providers" (including the quotes)
This leads straight to
http://alliancema.com/files/M&A/General_Information.pdf(however the logo is different here)
and in turn to
http://alliancema.com/Looks familiar? I have no idea if that site is legit; but it definitely is slightly older than alliance-insagt.com.
When doing a Google search for "Mergers & Acquisitions Insurance Group" we find a number of hits that lead to AIG (aig.com). This name should ring a bell, shouldn't it?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AIGNow, the question is: Is
http://www.alliance-insagt.com actually a site belonging to AIG? The WHOIS is somewhat unclear here because an anonymization service had been used:

I guess the best would be to contact AIG directly and ask them about the whole situation. It clearly seems to me that various documents try to make the impression that one is actually dealing with AIG.
For example,
