Escrow fraud???????????

Postby benji-n-suzi » Tue May 24, 2005 9:25 pm

My boyfriend benji is in the process of buying a street bike and the persone he is buying it from recomended using the website http://www.etradingsafe.com now that he has sent the money (sunday) he hasn't heard anything from the seller or the company. We looked at your website and noticed you have a pic of the exact same website this place is, only it has a different name. Could you take a looksee and let me know something soon.

I suspect you sent payment by western union. If so contact them IMMEDIATELY!! If the money hasn't been picked up (or diverted) you should try and get it back.

If you made payment by Credit Card, or Check then do a stop payment or dispute the charge.

As you pointed out this site is EXACTLY like other sites that are fraudulent. I would have to say this one is too!

Also report to local Law Enforcement, Federal Law Enforcement, etc..

Sorry I can't be much more help. But indeed I believe this site is a fraud.

There is not much I can do as I don't have the resources (unfortunately).

The only other thing I can suggest is to post as MANY details as possible about the scammer and the entire situation (keeping YOUR information confidential) on this site. My site gets crawled by GOGGLE on a daily (if not hourly) basis and genreally speaking most stuff on this site hits the search engines typically within 2 days.

So if others run into a similar situation, they GOOGLE it (or yahoo or many of the others) and it happens to match details that you've added (or any of our other users) then perhaps your loss may save someone else. I know it's not much consolation to your particular situation. it took me several months to get over my anger, in the mean time, I DID have the resources to develop this site.

Thanks for all your input.

Escrow Fraud-Motorcycle Wave Bye Bye!

Postby Eric Brewster » Mon Dec 12, 2005 5:32 am

Eric Brewster:
Benji-n-suzuki; if it looks too good to be true it is..........you have been just defrauded. It is now too late for the authorities to do anything, even the ones in your locality, anything to do with any place like Western Union or Money Mart should have alarm bells ringing in your heads.

You would have been better off selling your motorcycle in an local newspaper "autotrader" or "motorcycle trader". Atleast there you can screen the people going to buy your motorcycle.

Escrow Fraud-Buying Selling Motorcycles&Cars Bye Bye!

Postby Eric Brewster » Mon Dec 12, 2005 5:39 am

Eric Brewster:
Ahhhh sorry, it also works the same way with defrauders when your trying to buy something from them.........they simply take your money and do not give you the goods, hummmmm virtual reality of buying and selling these days, better sell face to face, atleast you can ask for Id or get a good look at the thief of your folly.

However Benji-n-suzuki I think your far better versed than you have been by this fraud.......always look a gift horse in the mouth, asking the buyer or seller, "What are you trying to do, sell me a nag here?"
