Someone tried to scam a friend yesterday by buying something from her on eBay and using this 'escrow'site for the money transfer. They claim to be in Zurich, founded in 1999, but the domain was registered by someone in New York in November of 2006. The Terms of Service and Privacy pages were copied [with name changes] from escrow.com. There are a few other clues as well. The buyer wanted the item shipped to Spain [from the US] the same day, claiming he would pay shipping.
