I have been asked to use webtradeonline as an escrow to purchase a Bose system. Does anyone know if this companu is legit. I'm a little nervous after reviewing this website.

Update. This site is a scam. I got suckered, wish i would have done more research. I contacted the seller on ebay and then worked out a deal off line (stupid me). anyways he suggested this escrow service and i sent the money Western Union (yes, stupid me). I only found out about all the scams over the last couple days when I did some more detailed research. looks like i learned the hard way. Anyways be careful of Auctions on eBay that say "if you contact me within the first 12 hours you will get a great discount". The seller says he is from Canada but the escrow service is in England.

Ok the date of creation is 11 days old (as of this writing). I could look deeper into the registration info, but why bother... I have enough proof already.

Then there is that Lovely Verisign Logo that these sites LOVE to steal. It too is a fraud. They hide the details using Javascritp to hide the address bar and put the URL in the Title bar. But you can get the same results if you go to http://webtradeonline.com/verisign_site ... n_info.htm . Which you will notice at the bottom of that page, you are instructed to "Make sure that the URL of this page begins with "https://seal.verisign.com" " which this site now Obviously does not. Then if you click on the [b]REPORT SEAL MISUSE[b] link... it goes NOWHERE and does NOTHING. For further verification of a false seal RIGHT CLICK on the REPORT SEAL MISUSE and open the link in a NEW window. (One with the address bar) and see for yourself.
