In the Netherlands, this car is actually worth about EURO 24000.
I contacted the seller by email, this is his reply:
Hello,
The car is still available. It is in perfect condition, no damage, no accidents. I have all the papers for it and all the taxes paid. I can give you more details about the car. I am no longer in the country, I have been moved in UK because of my job.
I want to sell the car because in Germany the steering wheel is on the left side and in UK is on the other side.
I`m in Uk and the car is with me , if you want we can use a escrow service.
I will go with the car to the escrow. I will let the car there. I will arrange with the escrow all the papers you will need to take the car on your name. You will have to pay to the escrow a warranty in advance, about 30% from the price of the car.the car will be shipped to you and will be to your address in maximum 5 days. When the car will be there you will receive your warranty back. You will have the car for 5 days to decide if you like it or not. You can go and check it where do you want to see if it is OK.If you like it you will close all the papers on your name with the help from the escrow and you will send me the money for it. If you will not keep it you will send it back free with the same escrow. I will pay here the papers and the other taxes. It is not very much.
Yes, the price is correct and it includes all the taxes. I hope I gave you the necesary information.
Please let me know if I can start the transaction.
Thank you and hope to hear from you soon
He uses the following contact information:
Melanite Alphonso [melanitealphonso@yahoo.com]
The car was supposed to be in Belgium, but he claims it's in the UK.
The same steering wheel being on the wrong side crap..... hmmm where have I heard that one before ??
The Phonenumber in the add ( +32-65-457649 ) does not exist.....I wonder how that can be...
Luckily, I didn't trust this way of buying a car. I want to see it before I pay any amount of money to anyone.
I decided to go on with the guy, to see which escrow company he "prefers".
If he answers, of which i am not sure he will, I will post a follow up to this story.
For now,
Take Care!
