Hello,

Do you know if the Escrow service "International Transport" http://www.cts-europe.net is a scam? I want to buy a car through them. They provided me with a user/password to enter the site. I received the following mail:

    Now you can proceed with the Payment.
    Payment Details:
    We have asigned 1 of our 5 agents to handle your transaction he will take
    care of the shippment and the money.
    The payment must be made through Bank Account to one of our account.This is the Bank Account were to send the money:
    Name: XXXXX
    IBAN: XXX
    Account Number: XXX
    Swift: CAGLESMMXXX
    Bank Name: XXX
    Address: XXX
    City: Denia
    Postal Code: 03700
    Country: Spain
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    After you make the Payment, please email us the following information:
    - Scanned(s) Paper from Bank at contact@cts-europe.net or by fax at +44(0)203 163 0875 Monday - Friday 8:30am-8:30pm
    - Amount Sent
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Within 3-4 business days, you will receive the car with all the legal
    papers at your door and you must inspect it. If it is complete and as
    described, you should accept the car and our Team will send the founds to
    the seller.
    If you refuse the car our Team will ship the car back
    to the seller. Then you will receive a full refund.

I live in Germany and the car is suposed to be in England.

It sure sounds like a scam.

A shipping company that doesn't even have a regular website, just a password-protected area? A domain name that was registered less than a month ago?

Of course the car is supposed to be in England. Except that it doesn't even exist at all and the "seller" is sitting in an internet cafe in Romania...


And now a few more details would be nice, including email address of the alleged seller and the complete bank details (without the "XXXX").
