Hi All

Can anyone confirm if www.uktransporteurope.co.uk is a legitimate site or do fraudsters make use of it.

i am simply asking as i would like to purchase a motorcycle which the seller advisertised. he said he wants to make use of this site for the payment.

I havent used it before and started doing some research on escrow payments, It seemed fine until I came across this site.

Well it looks pretty dodgy to me.
Why would the UK offices be in Australia?? shows a distinct lack of general geographic knowledge to me considering they are purporting to be a shipping company??

The website domain was only registered in May this year which is also pretty surprising for a company that reckons it has been going for 18 years?? and was registered in the US.

I can confirm that it is a fake site; it is operated by the same people trying to sell you the motorcycle. The seller is the scammer himself. Please post all available details (name and email address used by the "seller", payment method if known, where did you come across the motorcycle and so on).

I cannot find the original Ad however it was on http://johannesburg.gumtree.com I enquired using the gumtree mail template and received the email below.

The Bike is in perfect condition , It has all the papers and has no

problem at all . I am for the moment in UK but the transport is included

in the price. I prefer to sell it because of the European norms of

circulation (registering it here it would be to expensive and time

consuming for me ) . The price is 27000 R and it includes the

transport to your house and all the taxes. I would like to use an ESCROW

company this way we will be safe . I will get no money until you see and

test the bike . Let me know if you are interested and i will send you

more details and pictures .
