New Escrow Fraud Site <http://www.goldshipp-cargo.com/>

Postby wjn » Wed Apr 25, 2007 2:19 am

Hey everyone,

Could be the same people as last time <www. Safe-5-Steps.com> because the ad on Craigslist looks much the same, as do the fake web sites. Even some of the pictures of the staffers are the same!
The scam works the same way...A listing for a just about new Apple Macbook Pro for a $1.000.USD under list and some lame reason for having to sell it cheap.
I am going to copy in my email with the scammer so you get the idea.

_____________________________________________________________

Bill, I'm trying to sell the macbook here for 1 week and i coul not find a
resonable price, everybody wants windows... here are tmy terms:
The Apple MacBook Pro 17" Glossy will be shipped from Berlin (Germany) and
everything will be done through Goldshipp-Cargo.I agree to cover all the
shipping costs. That is the reason that I chose to sell it worldwide. I will
ship via Goldshipp-Cargo and once it arrives to your closest airport it will
Delivered by a courier to house address .Shipping takes less than two
working days. You will not have to pay additional taxes, just the price for
it. Also, after you will recive the Macbook, you have 3 days to inspect all
details.Condition it's Like New. Used for 1 month (surfed the internet,
Photoshopped about 20 Pictures, and messed around with iPhoto Booth a bit
too...which was real fun by the way). No scratches whatsoever, and no
smudges...nothing! Not on the screen, nor anywhere. The cosmetic and
mechanical condition is perfect!

web site is http://www.Goldshipp-cargo.com

Here is how you are protected by Goldshipp-Cargo, in case we have a deal:

not the case, Goldshipp-Cargo will refund you with 100% from the whole
amount. Even in case you will not receive the macbook, they will refund you
the money.
After you receive and see that the Laptop is the one you want, you just
notify Goldshipp-Cargo to forward me the payment details in order for me to
pick up my money.

E-mail me asap if you agree with my terms and we will have a deal.

I will need your address where you want the laptop to arrive.

PS. Please send me your full name and address (for delivery) and I will
email to Goldshipp-Cargo. After that they will reply to you with all the

Oh yeah...The "Safe-5-Steps" site was just taken down. I guess you can't stay in one spot too long.

Cheers

Bill...it does look like the same format as the safe-5-steps fraud. Same type of posting on Craigslist. I can't tell you how great it is that you are able to track these people down. I will continue to make "fraud warning" postings on Craigslist as often as possible. I wish there was a way to make one posting go to all Craigslist cities on a daily basis...so it can be seen visually on the list. I know they have the warnings posted in a message linked to their header...but unfortunately there are people like me who ignorantly only looked at the actual daily postings. I don't know...just thinking!
