How to get the hosts to respond.

Postby peg » Mon May 08, 2006 7:06 pm

Well, here it goes, my first suggestion. (hope it works).

This is my dilema, as we try and help others to educate and make them aware of these sites, it's also important to get them shut down. I used to send leters to the web hosts, dns providers, registers, etc... ,but recently, I haven't really had the time to research the email addresses of the appropriate people, compose a letter, and send them, as I have been devoting more time to updating (and improving) the database and the image gallery, all of which is done in my spare time. (As an aside, I am working on an interface for other trusted members to update the database. )

So, here is my suggestions....

If any of our users do the research and compose a letter to the appropriate hosts, I will create a special forum to post the letter and the email addresses. In that way, it's a simple cut and paste for the individual users to send an email. Hosts are more likely to respond to multiple requests from multiple sources, rather than a single user complaining.

Please let me know your thoughts on this or let me know if I am wasting my time.

Thanks
