checksure.biz is completely legit and has nothing to do with the whole thing!

It's a database of UK companies where you can order reports and so on. The scammer usually posts a company number of some completely unrelated company and probably thinks that this alone would be enough to create a felling of security with the victims. After all, who would spend money to order a report to check out the company in more detail? Many of those companies were dissolved years ago or (like in the current case) have nothing to do with car selling. The scammer just picks a previous or current company with a name that sounds plausible. "KFZ" means "motor vehicle" in German and so they used a company with "KFZ" in the name this time.

Once more: checksure.biz has nothing to do with all of this.

However it appears you are not dealing with the real legitimate company.
What is the email address he is using?
Are they using a web site?
Thanks

Hello!

I hope you can help me. Yesterday i discovered on autoscout a MB ML 320(y. 2006) for 4000 Euro. I contacted the seller via autoascout, because there was only a phone number. After that, an email was sent to me from Mr. Renato Villa. In the mail was, that he is now in TOGO on a mission with UNICEF, and his car is at a shipping company called Philippe in France, despite the fact that the phone number and his adress is Belgian. He didnt mentioned anything about paying in advanced yet. Im replying to his mail right now, that i want to see it in person.
So my question is, did you hear about a fraud like this?
Thank you very much!

Although I haven't hear these specifics (TOGO, UNICEF, etc...) the theme is all to familiar.

Regardless of what you are asked to do, I recommend a few cautions.

NEVER send money via Western Union, Money Gram or similar businesses.
ALWAYS check the site to see if it's legitimate. Verify Addresses, Phone numbers and the like.
ASK US to check if you don't know for sure. After seeing as many fraud sites as most of us have, we can readily identify most of them quickly as a fraud. It actually takes longer to verify if they are legitimate so don't be rushed by a great deal that you may miss out on. That too is part of the scam.

If you can provide us with more details, perhaps an actual website or email address of the other party, we can be more helpful.

Hi Kucsi,
"Ma Voiture se trouve actuellement avec Philippe le transporteur en France" just means that his "car is actually with Philippe (the english translation of which is Phillip) the transporter in France". Therefore, Phillipe couls just be the name of a person who is holding the car in France. I have come across a similar scam where the car was being held by a "friend" in Corsica, and that "friend" was going to arrange the transport for me. All in all this sounds like a scam. And remember, do not even send money to yourself by WU or money gram for any reason because you will lose your money.
