I was scammed through ebay using fgk-solutions.com. Is there a way to find others that were scammed by this company? Is there anything that I can do to try to catch this guy, I lost a $7000 Rolex to him using a fraud escrow account. I feel really stupid for trusting him. His Ebay account had over 1400 positive feedbacks so I think he is hacking into Ebay and putting them on himself because I contacted one of the sellers on the feedback form and he had never heard of the guy or his username. Can you please give me some advice, thanks so much.

First of all a place to look on what you can/should do... http://escrow-fraud.com/?page=resources#whatdoido

First thing I see is the DATE. Lets see... Today is December 14, 2004 (although I actually received the response from feed back on the 11th)
That is just a little over a month ago the domain was created? Hmmm... That throws a flag!

Another thing.. A poorly created site. What I mean is that I prefer to use Mozilla's FireFox as my browser. If I go to this site, information is displayed, not only incorrectly, they have text Overlapping Input boxes. If I use IE, it's displayed properly.

That alone is not enough to call this site a fraud, but a good designer would either code for different browsers (or at least use only code that is considered STANDARD to all or most browsers), or throw up a warning if you are using an "Incompatible" browser. (For those who absolutely love using Microsoft).

Then the infamous Verisign Logo. At this point, I have to admit that this site (fgk-solutions.com) was developed by a LAZY programmer/Scammer. Not only do the code poorly (as noted above) but the steal a Verisign page and forge it's information that their site is Legit and make NO attempt to hide their forgery. What do I mean by that? Well a legit Verisign Site will show a page with a URL FROM Verisign. The Smarter ones, will hide this in a pop-up window and prevent you from seeing the address bar. THIS site does not. Infact they even show you their mistake. In the Verisign page it has
To ensure that this is a legitimate VeriSign Secure Site, make sure that:

1. The original URL of the site you are visiting comes from http://www.fgk-solutions.com/.
2. The URL of this page is https://digitalid.verisign.com.
3. The status of the Server ID is Valid.

So they are telling you the URL of the page you are looking at SHOULD be https://digitalid.verisign.com but is really http://fgk-solutions.com/VeriSign.php . So this is an OBVIOUS fraud by this alone.

Now the layout....

The site looks awfully familiar, why??? I have seen it before, that's why.

This is from EUROPESAFEDEAL.com (yeah Right... SAFE)

and this is fgk-solutions. With some different images and the change of a Stylesheet, you can see that they are the same layout.
To see ALL layouts and be able to view them full size go to http://escrow-fraud.com/images.php

I shall waste no more time on this one!!

Although I was a bit delayed in contacting the hosting company on this site, it took only a couple of hours for them to shut it down from the time I contacted them.

A big thanks to the wonderful people at Netfirms.com

In the process of checking this one out..... I found it (originally) and then I got side tracked. When I started back again to contact Netfirms.com , I found that the site was already down.

It seems that Netfirms.Com is trying to be diligent about stopting this kind of activity. Again, I would send my kudos to them for this.

Diligent????

Postby JaxHot » Sat Jan 22, 2005 11:55 pm

Netfirms sucks.
They need to be sued by the victims of the sites they host.
They are in no way diligent. The reason the sites come down is because I call the registrants and have them cancel the accounts.
They deserve no kudos.

You can not lay blame totaly on the Host. They do not know what kind of sites people are putting up. All they know is that they were give what appears to be valid information to create a site. It could be for ecommerce, a personal site or for a fraud. Only when the site is actually up and running, do they even know what it is. This is of course assumming that they actually go and look at the site. Even then, the site may appear to be legit.

I have found netfirms to be very responsive to my requests to have sites shut down. This is in contrast to others that want hard copied documented proof of a fraud, signed and faxed or mailed to them. I generally refer them to my site which typically has stories of those frauded or enough information to make a reasonable person believe that it is indeed a fraud. Again, they "express their apolagies" and reitterate their "Need" to have "Signed Documents" sent to them.

So, Does netfirms.com Suck? Well at this point, I guess it's a matter of opinion, but they are better than most.
