Here is the latest fake escrow site. It is being operated by the scammer posting Ebay auctions with stolen identities and urging people to email him at support@coolxdeals.com. He directs you to his site which is brand new.
http://www.easyapayment.net

P.S. Nice site

Brian,

Thank you for this contact and information. I have done a brief investigation into the site. This is what I have found:

The WHOIS info ( http://samspade.org/t/lookat?a=%20easyapayment.net ) shows that the web address is registered by
Mrs Virginia M Bilodeau
12 Deepwells Lane
Saint James, NY 11780
Phone: 631-862-6333

Although the ZIP CODE comes back to Saint James, NY and the PHONE NUMBER Come back to a Roger Bilodeau (at the listed address) I doubt that a Mrs. Virginia M. Bilodeau resides there. It seems that they, scammers, are getting wise and providing real names and addresses to make it look more plausible, but they also seem to be choosing a name that is of a spouse of a listed person.

Either way, I would call them, but in the past when I have done that, the recipients of my calls have been less than pleasant thinking I am the scammer. Additionally, I find it more than Ironic, that someone in a little town in NY would register a website for a company in the United Kingdom ( http://www.easyapayment.net/index.php?show=about_us )

Nonetheless, The WHOIS also shows a creation date of September 11th, 2004. That's interesting since the Copyright is marked 2000. Even if there is some legitimacy there, I don't know if I would trust an escrow company who has been doing business for less than a month. (never mind a couple of weeks).

Then there is that TRUSTe Logo... Supposed to make it seem safer.. Well guess what. It's fraudulent
To prove this point:
Go to http://www.truste.org/about/member_list.php#E and look for easyapayment.net and you will see it's not there.
Go to http://www.truste.org/about/member_list.php#W and look for http://www.easyapayment.net and you will see it's not there.
Go to http://www.6gear.com/ and you will see a (Legit) site displaying the logo.
Search http://www.truste.org/about/member_list.php#6 for the above site (It's there!!)
Then you should be able to validate the sites on TRUSTe.
6gear.com can be validated https://www.truste.org/ivalidate.php?url=www.6gear.com
easyapayment.net CANNOT: https://www.truste.org/ivalidate.php?ur ... ayment.net

I won't waste more time on this site and I will declare it a fraud. Thanks for pointing it out.
