Just thought I would add to this.

THANK GOD I continued to be weary and kept doing some research. LITERALLY had the 'registration form' filled out, and then just happened to question the whole situation and started reading into scams. (I had been "researching" all afternoon, but like other posters here, all I found was various forums discussing the great service/legitimacy of the company) so I had almost bought into it. What really got me was that the number for the 'contact us' was out of service. Also, I couldn't find the company website through google at all. I could only get to it by inputting the address directly as a url.

This is what had me convinced. Boy am I glad.

Mine sounds like it is (almost word-for-word) exact same as these posters, however the "company" is called incisent consignment group, or ICG for short. The website looks totally legit, and talks about being used with kijiji, autotrader, ebay and craigslist. I almost lost my entire savings for a car. ($4,000.00)

My scammer's email: prestonpeter585@gmail.com
His "name": Peter Preston Jr.
*edit* forgot to add the website: http://www.incisent-group.com

Other red flags (besides what was stated in these earlier emails):
- He didn't text me when I suggested that would be easier.
- He seemed to respond much quicker at times than others (ie. when I asked why he was selling so cheap, it took him a lot longer to respond all of a sudden)
- He seemed 'pushy' to get my final decision.
- The "company" website could not be googled
- All of the forums discussing the great service/legitimacy of ICG were deemed unsafe by my McAfee (which has never popped up before, as usually a legit site at the top of google is approved by McAfee)

I really hope this helps some people. I hope that this fake company name can be posted, as, for me it was hard to believe NO sites were listing it as a scam.

This site is great, I hope more people think to check out frauds before sending out a significant amount of money. So sorry to everyone else. It's not fair, and these deadbeats who sucker people out of their hard-earned money should be given serious jail time.

Keep it real everyone, because fakers suck.

Thanks for posting and including all the details. I've added the site to our database now.

The website has a layout that is meanwhile well known around here: http://escrow-fraud.com/index.php?page= ... layout=274

That no sites have been listing it as a scam (yet) has one very simple reason: The site is very new. Registration was less than two weeks ago.

Sometimes the scammers also create fake testimonial sites. I found a couple of them; all on free hosters and hence easy to kill. If you still remember some of those sites with "real" domains I'd be interested to learn about them.

Example for the fake testimonial:

http://gulfcoastfisherman.ueuo.com/show ... Group.html

from a previous "incarnation":

http://www.gulfcoastfissherman.info/coa ... s.com.html

(Both sites copied the contents from a legit site.)

Anyway, we're working on getting the various sites killed.
