Fraud or not???

Postby Piekka » Mon Aug 29, 2016 9:39 am

Is this a fraud?

http://www.elite-shippers-ltd.eu/index.php
- I tried to call them but the call was forwarded to an automatic phone receiver.
- I also checked the address of the company on googlemaps and looks very fishy.
- Note that the transport company was chosen by the seller, which also makes me a bit anxious.

The site looks similar to the one you have listed as:

Here is the e-mail I received from them:

The site isn't loading for me at the moment. The rest you posted (and the WHOIS data for the domain) clearly says "fake". Don't pay any money.

You might want to edit your postings and remove your own data from it so it isn't picked up by spambots (or other questionable things).

Please post a few more details, especially where you came across this.

Hello,

Thank you for the information, I will not pay anything, seems I was right.
- Got a bad feeling form the beginning so it is good to be careful and look for more clues.

I came across this when someone was selling a motor, clearly below its true value on a Finish boating site.
- It was written in poor Finish, clearly translated from english. The seller then explained that she had studied in Finland for 2 years and has now moved back to England and she took the motor with her.
- The seller also posted a picture of her passport.. but maybe the scammer just got a hold of that picture somehow.
- Was alsoa bit fishy, that a 43year old female would own a motor like this.

Thanks alot for the help!
